Blockships

The illegitimate love child of Space Invaders and Tetris, Blockships is game about building a bigger, better ship whilst blasting your buddies' to bits (and shouting about it). It is a local multiplayer party/arena game and offers a great challenge to strike the right balance between speed, power, manoeuvrability, and of course fun :)

In space classic shooters I always wondered: "Why do do the bad guys drop power ups?" Surely grabbing bits from broken ships would be more interesting! Every Blockship is made from one of 4 basic blocks: Control Core, Gun, Engine, and Power. Destroying a ship's core will allow players to grab the remains and add to the their increasingly more powerful ship. But, every block has mass, to go faster you need engines, and to connect more blocks you need more power.
